True wrought iron is rarely used today — modern ornamental fencing uses welded carbon steel that is stronger, more consistent, and takes a better powder-coat finish. The aesthetic is identical but the performance is superior.
Fabrication Process
Every panel is welded in our Austin shop to your exact height and picket spacing specification. This is not off-the-shelf — panels are fabricated panel-by-panel to fit your property’s grade changes and exact measurements.
After welding, panels are shot-blasted to bare metal, zinc-primed, then powder-coated at 325°F. The result is a finish that outlasts liquid paint by 3:1.
Gate Automation
We install electric gate operators for both swing and slide configurations:
- Swing: Linear actuator or ram arm operators, single and dual
- Slide: Rack-and-pinion operators for driveways up to 20 feet wide
- Controls: Keypad, remote, intercom, or phone-based access
- Safety: Photo-eye sensors, entrapment protection per UL 325
